Latency and Share Difficulty
Stale shares usually come from distance or from the wrong port, not from the algorithm.
Steps
- Prefer the endpoint with the lower round trip. Zcash jobs move on a 75-second block cadence, but shares are much more frequent.
- Stay on port 3330 unless a rental platform requires the fixed port.
- After a change, leave the miner alone for a day and read reject % on the address page.
- Keep the last known-good URL written down: stratum+tcp://zec.mysolopool.com:3330, password x.
