Default Port vs the NiceHash Fixed Port
Pick port 3330 for normal vardiff mining, or 3331 when the rental platform needs a fixed difficulty.
Steps
- Port 3330 is the default. The pool adjusts share difficulty as your hashrate changes. Password stays x.
- Port 3331 is for NiceHash and rentals. Vardiff is off and difficulty is fixed. Do not point a home miner there unless the platform requires it.
- After any port change, watch reject rate and the last-share time for at least a few minutes.
- If shares stop, switch back to 3330 with password x before changing anything else.
